We visited this restaurant last night after inviting some freinds over from manchester. We arrived promptly at 8pm and we requested to be seated at the bar for a couple of drinks before we satdown at our table. Quite a while later after tlling a waiter we were ready to be seated at our table we were kept waiting for about 30 minutes before we had to promt a waiter again and finally we were seated. Considering the restaurant was half empty I don't know what the fuss was about. We had a very pleasant meal, the food was fantastic and portions were good too. Only downfall again was playing the waiting game. As the evening progressed they started to get busier, and this is what they can't handle. Multi tasking was probably not apart of their training. We had to ask for everything twice or keep prompting somebody. Even getting us the bill seemed a chor for them. Although I was very surprised with the amount. £110 for the four of us, this was including 2 bottles of wine too!! I would recomend this restaurant but think maybe try it on a school night when they are not busy!! They can't handle busy!!

Received from Mohommod Rahman - Turmeric Jones. Posted Thursday, July 02, 2009
We at Turmeric Jones, welcome both complaints and compliments with a positive attitude, which enable us to improve our service.
After reading this article by a so-called “customer” namely Mr Akshay Kumar whom supposedly visited our family restaurant on the 21st of June,
We are very surprised and quite intrigued by the length that some people will go to, in order to disrepute us.
We welcome all healthy challenge, because we believe this keep’s our staff and management to excel in their performance in hospitality service at all times.
We would like this opportunity to thank all and everyone who have left their comments about Turmeric Jones, which has enabled us to constantly improve our services.
Therefore we inform “Birminghamplus” that is article left by Mr Kumar, is a total lie, and that it be looked into, for the reasons, that most people are aware that CCTV footage is a common thing in all business’s today, and after viewing the footage with Mr Jones on 21st June, WHERE ARE YOU MR KUMAR?!! As the saying goes “what can’t speak can’t lie”.
Our most compassionate thanks to Mr Kumar, a little jealousy is always healthy but truth and justice will always prevail, so “Singh is not king” after all. |
