Wine Price* Stockists Comments
Graham's 10 Year Old Tawny £16.99 Oddbins Orange peel, linctus, dried fruits and walnuts.[CP]
Best of the bunch - nuts, dried fruit[TW]
Dow's Midnight £8.99 Sainsbury, Asda, Safeway, Wine Rack Pleasant label but disappointing taste likened to Cherry Brandy [TW]
Dow's Crusted 1998 £12.99 Sainsburys, Tesco, Waitrose Juicy sweet blackberry and liquorice fruit, rich texture, evolving to dark chocolate. [CP]
One glass experience, but would do better with cheese[TW]
Warre's 1992 LBV (Bottled 1996) £14.99 Sainsbury, Tesco, Safeway, Waitrose, Wine Rack, Oddbins Two glass experience, again crying out for some cheese to work with [TW}
Graham's Malvedos 1995 £22.00 Sainsbury, Tesco, Wine Rack, Oddbins Raw power, juicy black fruits, spice, dark chocolate and liquorice. Still young and some way from maturity. [CP]
Much more complex than the others - not yet the full blown thing but also not simply an alcohol hit. [TW]
* I'm assuming that the price is that from the first listed stockist - others may vary

Clive's Star Recommendation:
Niepoort Colheita 1990 (£13.95 per half bt, House of Fraser) Orange peel, bitter marmalade, spice, linctus, dried fruits, nuts, with toffee and chocolate. Amazing, fabulous, complex. 20/20.
